“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55: 8-9
Ever wonder why things happen the way they do, even when they don’t make sense? The Bible, in Isaiah 55:8-9, tells us that God’s plans are much bigger and better than anything we can imagine.
Here’s what the verse says:
“God says, ‘I don’t think the way you do, and I don’t do things the way you do. Just like the sky is way up high above the ground, my ways are way above yours, and my thoughts are way above yours.'”
It’s like saying God sees the whole picture, while we only see a tiny piece. His plans are way more complex and amazing than anything we can come up with.
Why is this important?
This means even when things are tough, we can trust that God has a good plan for us. He knows what’s best, even when we don’t.
How can we get closer to God?
Here are some things we can do:
Pray: Talking to God is like talking to a friend.
Read the Bible: It’s like God’s instruction book, full of stories and advice.
Talk to others about faith: Sharing experiences with others helps us learn and grow together.
Remember:
Understanding God’s plans isn’t about following rules blindly. It’s about trusting that He loves us and has a good plan for our lives, even when we can’t see it. So, don’t worry if things seem confusing, just keep trusting in God!
