When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?
The last risk I took was launching my blog ‘Rise&Inspire’ on August 7th, 2023. It’s been transformative, leading to personal growth and connecting with over 1,700 followers. Taking risks can lead to incredible opportunities.
When was the last time you took a risk? For me, it was on August 7th, 2023, the day I launched my blog website, ‘Rise&Inspire’ on WordPress.com. I embarked on this journey with nothing but a passion for blogging and a determination to make it work, despite lacking any technical skills. Little did I know, this leap of faith would lead to an incredible adventure of growth and learning.
Taking risks means different things to different people. It could be starting a new job, trying a new hobby, or speaking up in a challenging situation. For me, it was stepping out of my comfort zone and diving headfirst into the world of blogging.
In the past eight months, I’ve experienced the highs and lows of navigating the blogosphere and learning the technical intricacies required to maintain a successful blog website. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has been an opportunity for growth.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this journey has been watching my blog grow. From humble beginnings to now boasting over 1,700 followers, the support and engagement from my readers have been truly humbling.
Let’s break down those numbers:
Followers: 1,716
WordPress.com: 763 (44%)
Email: 4 (0.2%)
Social: 949 (55%)
These numbers represent not just statistics, but individuals who have connected with my content, found inspiration, and joined me on this journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
But success in the blogosphere isn’t just about numbers. It’s about the connections we make, the stories we share, and the impact we have on others. Through ‘Rise&Inspire,’ I’ve had the privilege of connecting with people from all walks of life, sharing stories of resilience, hope, and empowerment.
So, how did taking this risk work out for me? In short: it’s been nothing short of transformative. I’ve discovered new passions, honed my skills, and found a community of like-minded individuals who continue to inspire me every day.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this experience, it’s that sometimes the biggest rewards come from stepping outside of our comfort zones and taking a chance on ourselves. So, whatever risk you’ve been considering, whether it’s starting a new venture or pursuing a long-held dream, I encourage you to take that leap of faith. Who knows where it might lead?
