If you’ve ever wondered, “Where is justice, and who will stand up for it?”, Psalm 146:7 gives us a powerful answer: “Who executes justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners.”

Justice for the Oppressed

The first part of Psalm 146:7 addresses our innate desire for justice. In a world where oppression and injustice are sadly common, this verse reminds us that God is on the side of those who suffer.
