Dear readers! Today, I want to take you on a journey through my digital world, where my blog website, “riseandinspire,” takes centre stage.

In a world filled with global internet giants like Google, YouTube, and Facebook, you might wonder what makes my website so special to me. Well, let me share my story.

First and foremost, owning my blog website is a source of immense pride. In many cultures, including the one in Tamilnadu, India owning a business of your own is considered highly valuable and praiseworthy.

It’s often the first question asked by a senior person in a village: “Are you doing ‘sonthathozil’ or ‘admaithozil’?” This translates to, “Are you doing your own business or working for someone else?”

For me, my website is my business establishment, and I treat it with the same level of dedication and responsibility.

My website is my ‘Sonthathozil.’ I open it every day like one would open their shop, ready to serve and engage with my audience. If I have other commitments, I temporarily close its virtual shutters, just like a brick-and-mortar store would.

I haven’t employed anyone to look after my website in my absence, but I consider doing so if the situation demands it. My website is a reflection of my dedication and the joy I derive from being a business owner in the digital realm.

On platforms like LinkedIn, I’m an active participant, sharing my thoughts and insights with the world. I’ve had posts that garnered hundreds of thousands of impressions within a week, but here’s the catch: when algorithms suspected my engagement was spammy, they blocked my posts from being shared in groups.

However, on my website, I’m the king, the admin, and the moderator. There’s no algorithm policing my thoughts and expressions. I value the freedom to connect with my fellow bloggers and receive valuable feedback on how my blog posts resonate with them.

In my journey through the digital landscape, I also dabbled in vocal media, where I penned hundreds of articles, and I even earned for my contributions. However, one unfortunate day, I lost all my posts from my profile, despite numerous requests to the platform’s management.

That experience was a turning point. It drove me to fulfil a long-held passion from my college days – owning a website with my unique domain and email ID. Now, I am the proud owner of “riseandinspire,” a place where I have complete control over my content and a platform where my creativity knows no bounds.

In a world where the internet is dominated by tech giants and algorithmic controls, my website remains a place of true freedom and creativity.

It’s my digital haven, a space where I can share my thoughts, experiences, and insights without any restrictions.

So, while Google, YouTube, and Facebook top the charts in global traffic, “riseandinspire” is where my heart truly belongs.
