What are three objects you couldn’t live without?
The three invisible objects fueling my journey are curiosity, reflection, and legacy. Curiosity drives growth and innovation, reflection fosters self-awareness, and legacy ensures that the impact we make today continues to inspire others. These intangible tools shape our purpose and resilience, far beyond material possessions. What are yours?
“Curiosity is the force that turns strangers into mentors, setbacks into lessons, and routines into adventures.”
“Reflection isn’t just about flaws.”
“People forget advice; they remember how you made them feel.”
“The laptop breaks. The coffee mug chips. But curiosity, reflection, and legacy? They’re eternal.”
The Three Invisible Objects That Fuel My Journey (And Yours Too)
As the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Rise&Inspire, I’ve spent countless hours pondering questions that nudge us toward growth. Today’s prompt—“What are three objects you couldn’t live without?”—seems simple at first glance. But let’s dig deeper. If I answered with my laptop, coffee mug, and notebook, would that inspire you? Probably not. Instead, let’s reimagine “objects” as tools of transformation—intangibles that shape our purpose, resilience, and impact.
Here are the three “objects” I truly can’t live without:
1. The Compass of Curiosity
Curiosity is the North Star of progress. It’s the force that turns strangers into mentors, setbacks into lessons, and routines into adventures. Without curiosity, my blog would stagnate. Every post I write, every story I share, begins with a question: What if? Why not? How else?
How to wield this object:
- Ask audacious questions. Replace “I can’t” with “What would it take?”
- Embrace a beginner’s mind. Even experts stay hungry. Read outside your niche and talk to people who broaden your perspectives.
- Turn friction into fuel. Curiosity thrives in discomfort. Stumbled? Ask, What did this teach me?
Science backs this: A Harvard study found that curious teams innovate faster. So, carry this compass daily.
2. The Mirror of Reflection
A mirror reflects more than appearances—it reveals patterns. Every morning, I hold up a mirror to my intentions: Am I aligning with my mission? Am I hiding behind comfort? Without this practice, motivation becomes a hollow buzzword.
Polish this object:
- Journal with vulnerability. Write one raw sentence daily: Today, I avoided… or I’m scared of…
- Seek feedback fearlessly. Publish a draft that terrifies you. Let readers evaluate it. Growth lives in the uncomfortable.
- Celebrate micro-wins. Reflection isn’t just about flaws. Did you uplift one person today? That’s a win.
Psychologist Tasha Eurich’s research shows only 10-15% of people are truly self-aware. Be in that minority.
3. The Seed of Legacy
A seed seems insignificant until it grows into a forest. My blog isn’t about my voice—it’s about planting seeds of courage in readers. Every comment like “This changed my perspective” is a seedling taking root.
Nurture this object:
- Share stories, not sermons. People forget advice; they remember how you made them feel.
- Empower others to grow. Feature guest writers and amplify voices quieter than yours.
- Think beyond your lifespan. What will your words do in 10 years? Maya Angelou’s poetry still heals; your impact can too.
A 2023 study in Nature found that acts of inspiration create ripple effects—motivating others’ productivity by up to 40%.
Why These Objects Matter

The laptop breaks. The coffee mug chips. But curiosity, reflection, and legacy? They’re eternal. As you strive to elevate in life, ask yourself: What invisible tools are you carrying?
At Rise&Inspire, we don’t just chase success—we build ecosystems of growth. So today, I invite you to name your three objects. Share them in the comments. Let’s redefine what it means to truly live.
Your turn.
P.S. If this post sparked a thought, pass it forward. Someone’s compass might be pointing here.
