What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?
A writing prompt should open a door to fresh thinking. But when WordPress repeats the same Daily Writing Prompt within a few months, it raises an interesting question: are writers being given enough opportunities to explore new ideas? Prompt variety may matter more than we realise.
The WordPress Daily Writing Prompt has repeated again.
Today, 15 September 2026, the prompt is:
“What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?”
This is not a new prompt for me. The same prompt appeared on 23 June 2026, when I published “Do Older People Have All the Wisdom to Share?” under Daily Prompts, tagged dailyprompt and dailyprompt-2801.
Repeating prompts so soon reduces the value of the Daily Writing Prompt experience, especially for bloggers who have already responded thoughtfully to them.
I hope WordPress can review its prompt rotation and provide a wider range of fresh prompts.
Previous response: Do Older People Have All the Wisdom to Share?
Core Message
The problem is not that WordPress repeats a prompt; it is that repeated prompts limit the opportunity for fresh thinking and new writing. Since the same prompt appeared on 23 June 2026 and has appeared again on 15 September 2026, WordPress should broaden its prompt rotation and offer writers more original, varied prompts.

Even though I am new to WordPress I feel exactly the same. Although, it makes easy for me to create some internal links.
🤝👍🎉
I hope they don’t repeat often. I just started a new blog specifically for these prompts today.
