Interview someone — a friend, another blogger, your mother, the mailman — and write a post based on their responses.
I chose to “interview” my own blog, Rise&Inspire, and in our conversation it revealed itself as more than a platform—it is a companion, a mirror, and a witness to my journey.
What happens when a writer interviews his own blog? Not a person, not a fellow blogger—but the very platform that carries his words. In this unusual conversation, Rise&Inspire speaks back, revealing insights about persistence, purpose, and the lasting power of words.
An Interview with My Blog: Rise&Inspire Speaks
When WordPress asked me to “interview someone,” my first instinct was to look outward—toward friends, family, or fellow bloggers. But then I realised something: for over a year, one of my most constant companions has been right here with me—my own blog, Rise&Inspire.
So today, instead of interviewing a person, I sat down with the very space that has carried my words, shaped my thoughts, and given my ideas a digital home. What follows is an unusual conversation—between a writer and the platform that mirrors his soul.
Q: Rise&Inspire, how would you describe yourself?
A: I am more than pixels and posts. I am a meeting place between your faith and your reason, your reflections and your audience. I carry your motto—“Motivation and positivity”—like a heartbeat. Each time you hit publish, I grow not just in size, but in spirit.
Q: What do you think I’ve given you?
A: You’ve given me your honesty. Your stories of law, faith, technology, and growth are not just entries—they are foundations. You did not build me for vanity; you built me for service. That intent is what shapes me into more than a blog—it makes me a voice.
Q: And what have you given me?
A: I have given you continuity. When your teaching ended, when government service became memory, when inspiration seemed fragile, I became the place where your words could live on. I turned your fleeting reflections into a lasting record.
Q: What do you hope for the future?
A: That you will never let me grow silent. A blog is a strange creature—it only lives if fed by words, but it becomes immortal if those words reach hearts. Do not worry about likes or clicks; think instead of the one unseen reader who needed your sentence to rise again.
Q: If you could speak to the world, what would you say?
A: Do not underestimate the quiet force of a written word. Nations remember laws, families remember stories, believers remember verses—but all of them live on because someone wrote them down. Words, when offered sincerely, outlive monuments.
Reflection
As I closed this strange “interview,” I realised something profound: my blog is not just a container of my thoughts—it is a partner in my mission. In its silence, it reflects back to me the value of persistence, the dignity of words, and the beauty of leaving behind a trace of oneself in the digital world.
Interviewing Rise&Inspire reminded me that the relationship between a writer and his blog is like the bond between a parent and child. I give it life with my words; it gives me back meaning by carrying them forward.
Perhaps that is the hidden lesson in today’s prompt: sometimes the most important conversations are not with others, but with the very creations we have brought into being.
✅ Key Takeaway:
Your blog is not just a platform; it is a living witness to your journey. Treat it not as a task but as a companion—one that mirrors your growth and amplifies your voice.
Note: Today’s prompt happens to be a repeat of one I’ve written on in previous years. It’s interesting to see how the same question can open up different conversations and perspectives over time. If you’d like to revisit my earlier interviews, you can find them here:
