I could have dismissed it as redundancy, yet something about its reappearance felt intentional, almost meditative — as though life itself was asking me to revisit the same question but at a deeper level.

Back then, I saw exercise as either a structure of discipline or a mindful escape — a bridge between body and mind. Today, my understanding has evolved into something more expansive, even spiritual. What was once about fitness has become a sacred dialogue between body, breath, and being.

So, in answering this repeated prompt, I’m not retracing old steps. I’m exploring how my relationship with movement has transformed into a philosophy — a way of living where exercise becomes not just a physical act, but a form of prayer in motion.

Today, I want to share with you my favourite form of physical exercise, which is not just about breaking a sweat but rather a holistic approach to well-being.

Every morning, I begin on a journey that combines mindfulness meditation, the rejuvenating power of morning sunlight, freehand exercises, and a yoga routine that includes Ashwini mudra and Kapalbhati.I close my morning ritual with an open-air bath that leaves me feeling refreshed and invigorated.

In this blog post, I’ll take you through each step of my morning routine and explain why I find it so fulfilling.

Mindfulness Meditation (20 minutes at 6 a.m.)

My day begins with mindfulness meditation. I set aside 20 minutes each morning to meditate, and this has been a game-changer for me. Mindfulness meditation helps me start the day with a clear and calm mind. It allows me to focus on the present moment, letting go of worries and stress.
