My two favourite things to wear are confidence and gratitude — invisible layers that shape how I move through the world far more than any outfit ever could.
Most people think of clothing when asked what they love to wear. But sometimes the most powerful things we “put on” aren’t found in a wardrobe at all. Today’s prompt pushed me to look inward and what I discovered matters far more than fabric or fashion.
Can a Repeat Prompt Still Reveal Something New About Me?
Every morning, the WordPress prompt lands like a small invitation sometimes surprising, sometimes familiar, and sometimes, like today, very familiar.
“What are your two favorite things to wear?”
A question I’ve already explored twice over the past two years.
My earlier reflections still feel meaningful:
💫 In 2024, I wrote about how fashion is more than fabric — it’s identity, presence, and the small ways we project our inner selves into the world. You can revisit that post here:
👉 “Are You Ready to Redefine Fashion as More Than Just Fabric?”
💫 In 2023, I explored how clothing connects tradition and technology, blending what we inherit with what we innovate.
👉 “From Tradition to Tech”
So when the same prompt came up again today, I took a moment to think.
Should I respond a third time?
And then I realised — yes.
Because a repeated question doesn’t always ask for a repeated answer.
Sometimes it invites a deeper one.
What This Prompt Really Asks Me Today
This time, the question nudges me not toward my wardrobe, but toward self-awareness.
What do I wear every day — not literally, but emotionally, mentally, spiritually?
What do I carry on my shoulders that shapes the way I walk into the world?
Today, my two favourite “things to wear” aren’t pieces of clothing at all.
1. Confidence — My Invisible Layer of Strength
It isn’t stitched in fabric, but it’s the most empowering thing I’ve ever put on.
Confidence allows me to speak, write, and express without shrinking.
It turns ordinary outfits into extensions of purpose.
It’s the garment that lets me step into any room knowing I belong.
2. Gratitude — My Daily Accessory
Gratitude softens hard days and brightens simple moments.
It hangs lightly, but it transforms heavily.
When I “wear” gratitude, I move more slowly, appreciate more deeply, and remember that life is abundant even in its smallest offerings.
These two are not worn on my body they’re worn on my spirit.
Why I’m Glad I Responded Again
A third response may sound repetitive, but ironically, it brought me somewhere new.
Fashion evolves, and so do we.
My earlier posts captured who I was then.
Today’s reflection captures who I am now someone who cares less about what I wear on the outside and more about what I carry within.
Sometimes a repeat prompt becomes a mirror, showing how much we’ve grown.
And maybe that’s the real beauty of writing daily.
